Rural development
PVF supports programmes targeting marginalised rural communities that suffer from the lasting consequences of exceptional circumstances, such as armed conflict and natural or industrial disasters.
Initiatives should aim at restoring and enhancing the autonomy of rural populations and may take the form of rehabilitating infrastructure (small-scale irrigation systems, terracing, etc.), fostering and/or diversifying agricultural production, securing land tenure for hard-hit small and marginal producers, etc.
